Wassim SAMADandClaude Opus 4.7 d747d2f0ea Phase 5 Stage E: full kind migration into packages/nodes
Wholesale move of every remaining kind into its own subdirectory under
`packages/nodes/src/`, finishing the registry-driven migration. Each
kind now ships its definition, schema (re-exported from core), and any
of `geometry` / `renderer` / `system` / `floorplan` / `tool` /
`move-tool` / `panel` / `floorplan-move` / `floorplan-affordances` /
`parametrics` / `preview` it needs — no per-kind code remains under
`packages/editor/src/components/tools/` or
`packages/viewer/src/components/renderers/`.

Deleted (replaced by registry-driven equivalents):
- `tools/{ceiling,column,door,fence,item,slab,spawn,wall,window}/...`
(boundary editors, hole editors, placement tools, move tools,
endpoint movers, curve tools, helpers, math libs)
- `ui/helpers/{ceiling,slab,wall}-helper.tsx`
- `ui/panels/{column,door,elevator,item,roof,roof-segment,spawn,
  stair,stair-segment,wall,window}-panel.tsx`
- `viewer/src/components/renderers/{building,ceiling,column,door,
  elevator,fence,guide,item,level,roof,roof-segment,scan,site,slab,
  spawn,stair,stair-segment,wall,window,zone}-renderer.tsx`
- `viewer/src/components/viewer/legacy-system.tsx`

Added under `packages/nodes/src/`:
- `building/`, `column/`, `elevator/`, `guide/`, `level/`, `roof/`,
  `roof-segment/`, `scan/`, `shared/`, `site/`, `stair/`,
`stair-segment/` packages with definition + schema + renderer / system
/ floorplan / panel as appropriate.
- New `floorplan-move.ts` for every kind that supports 2D moves
(ceiling, door, item, shelf, slab, window) — single registry-driven
  dispatch path via `def.floorplanMoveTarget`.
- New `floorplan-affordances.ts` for kinds with polygon / endpoint
drags (ceiling, fence, slab, wall) — using the shared
  `polygon-vertex-affordance` factories.
- New per-kind `panel.tsx` for kinds with custom inspector content
(door, item, shelf, spawn, wall, window).
- New per-kind `tool.tsx` for placement (door, item, shelf, window).
- New per-kind `move-tool.tsx` for kinds with custom 3D move flows
  (door, item, slab, window).

Coordinator + manager updates in `packages/editor/`:
- `tool-manager.tsx` resolves tools from the registry only — no
  hardcoded type→component map.
- `panel-manager.tsx` resolves inspector panels the same way.
- `placement-{coordinator,strategies,types}.ts` extended with
  shelf-surface placement.
- `selection-manager.tsx` adds the registry-selectable fallback.
- `floorplan-panel.tsx`, `floorplan-background-placement.ts`,
`floorplan-render-context.tsx` updated for the registry layer's new
contract (props, affordance dispatch, render context).

Viewer updates:
- `viewer/index.tsx` drops legacy renderer mounts.
- `node-renderer.tsx` resolves by registry only.
- `scene-bvh.tsx`, `use-node-events.ts`, `level-system.tsx`,
  `wall-cutout.tsx`, `zone-system.tsx`, `materials.ts` adjusted for
  the registry-only world.

Sidebar tree nodes for ceiling / fence / slab / shelf / tree-node
updated to read from the registered nodes instead of the deleted
legacy renderer trees.

Wiki: new `plugin-authoring.md` page, README index updated.

Tests in `packages/nodes/src/index.test.ts` validate every registered
kind has the required shape.

Wassim SAMADandClaude Opus 4.7 924567293a shelf: v2 — cubby default, withBottom, item hosting, paintable surface
Schema v2 adds style/rows/columns/withBack/withSides/withBottom/bracketStyle
and a `children: ItemNode[]` field for item hosting. Schema-level defaults
preserve the v1 wall-shelf visual so existing scenes load unchanged; the
placement tool spreads `shelfDefinition.defaults()` for fresh shelves
(cubby 3x2 at 1m × 0.5m × 1.8m, thickness 0.05m, back/sides/bottom on).

Four style geometries (wall-shelf / bookshelf / open-rack / cubby) share
the dimensional schema. `shelfRowSurfaceYs` exposes one host surface per
row, plus the bottom-board top when `withBottom` is on for cubby /
bookshelf.

Material is a single paintable surface (same shape walls / slabs / stairs
use); `DEFAULT_SHELF_MATERIAL` aligned with `DEFAULT_WALL_MATERIAL` so
unpainted shelves read as the canonical off-white.

Preview clones each cached material before mutating `transparent / opacity`
on the ghost — without the clone the mutation leaked into the cached
`getShelfMaterial` instance every committed shelf was using, rendering
them all see-through after the first placement preview rendered.

Store hardening: `migrateNodes` patches missing `children: []` on v1
shelves, and `updateNodesAction` reparenting tolerates a missing children
array on the new parent. `MaterialTarget` enum adds `'shelf'` so paint
mode picks up the kind.

Wassim SAMADandClaude Opus 4.7 88546d26f0 Bootstrap: log registered kinds + expose nodeRegistry on globalThis in dev
Verification anchor for "which path is running this kind?":

  [pascal:registry] loaded pascal:core v1 (1 kinds: shelf)

prints in the browser dev console on app boot. Empty array means every
kind is on the legacy dispatch path. A kind in the array means the
registry-first NodeRenderer / ToolManager shims own it (legacy path is
short-circuited).

Also exposes `globalThis.__pascalNodeRegistry` in dev so you can run
ad-hoc inspections like `__pascalNodeRegistry.has('spawn')` from the
console. Production builds skip both.

Wassim SAMADandClaude Opus 4.7 4d5226ce10 Wire loadPlugin(builtinPlugin) at editor app bootstrap
Adds apps/editor/lib/bootstrap.ts that calls loadPlugin(builtinPlugin)
as a module-side-effect on first import. Imported from scene-loader.tsx
so it runs on the client side where the editor mounts.

Idempotency guard handles HMR re-execution (would otherwise throw on
duplicate registerNode). For the empty plugin this commit, the entire
call is a no-op — included now so future commits that add real node
kinds only need to push them onto builtinPlugin.nodes.

Wawa e618175bba Reset core/viewer/editor/mcp packages and apps/editor from private-editor
Wholesale swap of packages/{core,viewer,editor,mcp} and apps/editor with the
versions from the private editor repo, which is the production source of truth.

Setup changes:
- packages/{core,viewer,editor} versions held at 0.7.0 baseline (matching
the most recent published release) so a bump=minor publishes 0.8.0
- packages/mcp held at 0.1.1 (never published; first publish will go through
  the new release.yml flow)
- peerDependencies and devDependencies for inter-package @pascal-app/*
references pinned to ^0.7.0 instead of '*' / 'workspace:*' so they are
  valid for npm consumers
- Root package.json: TypeScript bumped to 6.0.2, added overrides for
  @types/react, @types/react-dom, @types/three to prevent JSX namespace
  fragmentation across the workspace
- release.yml extended to also publish editor and mcp; 'both' option renamed
to 'all'; added a sync step that updates inter-package peerDeps/devDeps to
match the new versions on every bump (so viewer/editor/mcp tarballs always
reference the version of core they were built against)
- Root scripts gained release:editor and release:mcp shortcuts

Verification:
- bun install --frozen-lockfile is consistent
- packages/{core,viewer,mcp} build cleanly, dist/index.d.ts emitted
- packages/editor check-types reports 21 pre-existing errors, identical to
  what private-editor currently reports

Open PRs against editor-v2 will need rebasing/conflict resolution.

Adrian PerezandClaude Opus 4.7 8757de0c36 fix(mcp,editor): close PUT-route URL bypass + vision-tool SSRF (Phase 10 A2)
Pre-push audit agent A2 flagged two HIGH-severity security issues that
would have shipped in the PR had we not checked:

1. PUT /api/scenes/[id] URL-validation bypass. Phase 8 P4 fixed
the POST /api/scenes route by replacing a loose z.unknown() graph
schema with AnyNode superRefine. The fix never made it to the PUT
handler - an attacker could resubmit the same javascript:/file:///
payloads via PUT. Fixed by extracting the tight validator into
apps/editor/lib/graph-schema.ts and sharing it across both routes.

2. SSRF in photo_to_scene / analyze_floorplan_image /
analyze_room_photo. All three tools called raw fetch(image) on
user-supplied URLs with no validation - a direct
   http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/ exfil primitive on any
   cloud host. Added packages/mcp/src/lib/safe-fetch.ts that:
   - Blocks loopback (127.0.0.0/8, ::1)
   - Blocks link-local incl. cloud metadata (169.254.0.0/16)
   - Blocks private ranges (10/8, 172.16/12, 192.168/16, fc00::/7)
   - Blocks .local/.internal/.corp hostnames + localhost variants
   - Blocks v4-mapped IPv6 loopback (::ffff:127.0.0.1)
   - Manual redirects (max 3), revalidating the allowlist per hop
   - 20 MB response-size cap (streamed, enforced per-chunk)
   - 10s timeout
   - Optional PASCAL_ALLOWED_ASSET_ORIGINS env allowlist

Tests: 8 new SSRF guard tests, all vision tests still pass, full
suite 302/302.

Adrian PerezandClaude Opus 4.7 0b84e7b7b1 fix(mcp,editor): close URL-validation bypasses surfaced by Phase 8 P4
Phase 8 parallel validation flagged two boundaries where malicious URLs
(javascript:, file:, external http:, data:text/html, ...) could be
persisted despite the AssetUrl allowlist added in Phase 7 A7:

1. `save_scene({ includeCurrentScene: false, graph })` — the graph arg
was treated as opaque (`z.record(z.string(), z.unknown())`) and
written to the store without re-running AnyNode.safeParse.

2. `POST /api/scenes { graph }` in the editor API — same issue; the
   Zod `graphSchema` accepted anything object-shaped.

Fixes:
- `save-scene.ts`: when `includeCurrentScene === false`, iterate every
node and run `AnyNode.safeParse`; collect issues and throw
  `McpError(InvalidParams, 'graph_invalid', { errors })` on any
  failure.
- `app/api/scenes/route.ts`: replace `graphSchema` with a structured
  `z.object({ nodes, rootNodeIds, collections? })` + `superRefine`
that runs `AnyNode.safeParse` on every node. Invalid → 400 with
  detailed issue paths.

Tests:
- Added `save_scene` regression test for the P4 attack
  (item.asset.src = 'javascript:alert(1)') — expected error.
- Fixed the existing `includeCurrentScene=false` test to use a
schema-compliant site node id (the prior `id: 'root'` now fails
the AnyNode parse, which is the desired strict behaviour).
- Full suite: 294 pass / 0 fail.

Also adds Phase 8 test-reports/phase8/** (10 agents, ~15 scripts +
markdown reports) documenting the validation run, plus minor biome
cleanups to the Phase 5/7 test artefacts (removed stale
`// biome-ignore` suppression comments that now resolve to the
already-off `noConsole` rule).

Phase 8 result summary (10 parallel agents, stdio MCP transport with
isolated data dirs):
- P1 templates: 18/18 PASS
- P2 variants: 6/7 mutations + determinism + save + combined + error
- P3 locking: 12/12 PASS (MCP + editor HTTP If-Match)
- P4 URL hardening: fixed 2 bypasses (see above)
- P5 photo-to-scene: 6/6 PASS
- P6 Casa del Sol via save_scene: 13/13 PASS
- P7 editor HTTP API: 18/18 PASS
- P8 concurrency: 4/5 PASS, flagged 2 real filesystem-store races
(expectedVersion CAS gap + .index.json drift under parallel writes)
- P9 edge cases: 13/13 PASS (size cap, slug safety, bad inputs)
- P10 full sweep: 37/37 PASS (30 tools + 4 resources + 3 prompts)

Known follow-ups:
- FilesystemSceneStore needs a proper lockfile / atomic CAS to fix
the P8 concurrency bugs (low priority: single-writer MCP is the
  typical case).

Adrian PerezandClaude Opus 4.7 e8d0b13ff5 feat(mcp,editor): Option A+B storage + 10 agent deliverables (Phase 7)
Ships the combined filesystem/Supabase storage adapter + MCP scene
lifecycle tools + Next.js API routes + editor /scene/[id] route, so
an MCP save is directly openable at /scene/<id> without any
injection hack. End-to-end verified: 10/10 e2e steps pass.

Storage (A1/A2/A3):
- SceneStore interface + error classes + slug helpers
- FilesystemSceneStore at $PASCAL_DATA_DIR (defaults XDG/~/.pascal)
with atomic writes, .index sidecar, optimistic locking
- SupabaseSceneStore with scenes + scene_revisions tables, RLS
  migration SQL, mock-backed unit tests
- createSceneStore(env) auto-selects based on SUPABASE_URL +
  SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY

MCP tools (A4, A8, A9, A10):
- save_scene / load_scene / list_scenes / delete_scene / rename_scene
- list_templates / create_from_template (3 seed templates:
  empty-studio, two-bedroom, garden-house)
- generate_variants (7 mutation kinds, seeded RNG, save=true|false)
- photo_to_scene (vision sampling → scene graph → save)

Editor (A5, A6):
- /api/scenes + /api/scenes/[id] with RFC 7232 If-Match locking
- /scene/[id] and /scenes route pages with save button, SceneLoader
- Removed the window.__pascalScene dev injection hack

Security + UX edges (A7, A8):
- AssetUrl Zod validator: asset:// blob: data:image/ /path https:
  (http://localhost for dev) + PASCAL_ALLOWED_ASSET_ORIGINS env
  allowlist. Hardens scan.url, guide.url, item.asset.src,
  material.texture.url, MaterialMaps.*Map
- Auto-frame camera on empty→non-empty scene transition
  (camera-controls:fit-scene emitter event)

Shared utilities:
- rehydrateSiteChildren() extracted to packages/mcp/src/lib/ and
used by both create-from-template and generate-variants to work
around the SiteNode.children-as-objects vs. ids inconsistency
  (CROSS_CUTTING §2)
- Storage + MCP subpath exports added to packages/mcp/package.json
  (CROSS_CUTTING §4)

Tests: 293 pass / 0 fail across 40 files (was 142 pre-Phase-7).
Biome: clean.

Phase-7 e2e script at packages/mcp/test-reports/phase7-e2e.ts:
MCP HTTP + editor Next.js both point at $PASCAL_DATA_DIR =
/tmp/pascal-e2e, save_scene from MCP, GET /api/scenes/<id> from
editor server, /scenes list page renders all saved scenes, scene
page renders SceneLoader, delete_scene works.

Adrian PerezandClaude Opus 4.7 bdb47a6e5d feat(editor): expose useScene on window in dev for MCP-editor bridging
Adds window.__pascalScene = useScene in development builds so that a
running MCP process (which has its own Node-side in-memory store) can
inject a built scene into the browser editor for visual verification:

  fetch('/dev/casa-sol.json')
    .then(r => r.json())
    .then(s => window.__pascalScene.getState().setScene(s.nodes, s.rootNodeIds))

Also ships /public/dev/casa-sol.json as a reference scene — the
artefact exported from the MCP Casa del Sol test build.

Gated behind NODE_ENV !== 'production' so nothing leaks to prod.

Aymeric RabotandClaude Opus 4.6 d3e17cac04 Add editor preview mode for in-place viewer experience
Adds a Preview button next to Radio Pascal that switches the editor
into a viewer-like experience without leaving the page. The preview
mode swaps in the viewer's selection manager (hierarchical drill-down),
zone system, camera controls (left-click pan, auto-navigate), and
interactive item system while hiding editor-only UI (tools, panels,
sidebar, grid). Back arrow in the viewer overlay returns to the editor.

Also widens the default sidebar from 288px to 432px for better
project title visibility.
