Schema v2 adds style/rows/columns/withBack/withSides/withBottom/bracketStyle
and a `children: ItemNode[]` field for item hosting. Schema-level defaults
preserve the v1 wall-shelf visual so existing scenes load unchanged; the
placement tool spreads `shelfDefinition.defaults()` for fresh shelves
(cubby 3x2 at 1m × 0.5m × 1.8m, thickness 0.05m, back/sides/bottom on).
Four style geometries (wall-shelf / bookshelf / open-rack / cubby) share
the dimensional schema. `shelfRowSurfaceYs` exposes one host surface per
row, plus the bottom-board top when `withBottom` is on for cubby /
bookshelf.
Material is a single paintable surface (same shape walls / slabs / stairs
use); `DEFAULT_SHELF_MATERIAL` aligned with `DEFAULT_WALL_MATERIAL` so
unpainted shelves read as the canonical off-white.
Preview clones each cached material before mutating `transparent / opacity`
on the ghost — without the clone the mutation leaked into the cached
`getShelfMaterial` instance every committed shelf was using, rendering
them all see-through after the first placement preview rendered.
Store hardening: `migrateNodes` patches missing `children: []` on v1
shelves, and `updateNodesAction` reparenting tolerates a missing children
array on the new parent. `MaterialTarget` enum adds `'shelf'` so paint
mode picks up the kind.

These files had been showing as modified in every dev session — biome's
canonical formatting (line-length collapses, import sort, type-modifier
placement) didn't match the committed state. No semantic changes.
Committing now so the working tree stays clean across sessions.

Wholesale swap of packages/{core,viewer,editor,mcp} and apps/editor with the
versions from the private editor repo, which is the production source of truth.
Setup changes:
- packages/{core,viewer,editor} versions held at 0.7.0 baseline (matching
the most recent published release) so a bump=minor publishes 0.8.0
- packages/mcp held at 0.1.1 (never published; first publish will go through
the new release.yml flow)
- peerDependencies and devDependencies for inter-package @pascal-app/*
references pinned to ^0.7.0 instead of '*' / 'workspace:*' so they are
valid for npm consumers
- Root package.json: TypeScript bumped to 6.0.2, added overrides for
@types/react, @types/react-dom, @types/three to prevent JSX namespace
fragmentation across the workspace
- release.yml extended to also publish editor and mcp; 'both' option renamed
to 'all'; added a sync step that updates inter-package peerDeps/devDeps to
match the new versions on every bump (so viewer/editor/mcp tarballs always
reference the version of core they were built against)
- Root scripts gained release:editor and release:mcp shortcuts
Verification:
- bun install --frozen-lockfile is consistent
- packages/{core,viewer,mcp} build cleanly, dist/index.d.ts emitted
- packages/editor check-types reports 21 pre-existing errors, identical to
what private-editor currently reports
Open PRs against editor-v2 will need rebasing/conflict resolution.
- Guard _buildCache in merged-outline-node against stale/disposed
Object3D refs that cause TypeError on .id access during render
- Reset children array when duplicating roofs to prevent inconsistent
parent-child relationships (matching existing stair behavior)
- Use obj?.parent check in EditorOutlinerSync to ensure objects are
still in the scene graph before adding to outliner arrays
- Resume temporal state on parse failure to prevent undo/redo freeze
Closes#232
* Add catalog-based material presets across structural nodes
* Fix material picker fallback and wall visible highlights
* Preserve wall materials in selection highlights
three.js r183 deprecated THREE.Clock, but @react-three/fiber 9.x still
uses it internally per <Canvas> mount. This floods the dev console with
noise on every page load and HMR reload.
Uses three's setConsoleFunction hook to surgically suppress only the
exact Clock deprecation message. All other three.js logs pass through
untouched, including TSL stack-trace warnings.
Safe to remove once R3F v10 stable ships (which replaces Clock with
Timer). Removal condition documented in file header.
Closes#213
Stair system (full stack):
- New StairNode + StairSegmentNode schemas with flights, landings, L/U-shapes
- StairSystem: geometry generation with throttled per-frame updates
- Stair tool, edit system, panels, tree node, and renderers
- Event bus types, scene registry, and command palette entries
Scene graph utilities:
- cloneLevelSubtree: deep-clone a level with remapped IDs
- forkSceneGraph: clone + strip scan/guide nodes for project forking
Core improvements:
- Read-only mode on scene store (blocks create/update/delete when locked)
- readOnly guards on node-actions and collection actions
- Upload store for scan/guide file upload handling
Viewer state:
- previewSelectedIds for box-select live preview
- hoverHighlightMode (default/delete) for delete-mode hover outline
- Add MaterialSchema with 10 presets (white, brick, concrete, wood, glass, metal, plaster, tile, marble, custom)
- Add material field to Wall, Slab, Door, Window, Ceiling, Roof, RoofSegment nodes
- Create MaterialPicker UI component with preset selection and custom properties
- Update all renderers to support material rendering with caching
- Add Material section to all node panels (WallPanel, SlabPanel, DoorPanel, WindowPanel, CeilingPanel, RoofPanel, RoofSegmentPanel)
- Update AGENTS.md with Material System documentation
